Amélie begins previews on Broadway in a few weeks, on March 9, at the Walter Kerr Theater. Opening night is April 3rd. The cast, including Phillipa Soo as Amélie and Adam Chanler-Berat as Nino, has begun doing promo in anticipation of the premiere. On February 10th they presented a concert preview at the Cutting Room in NYC. Members of the cast performed songs from the show and talked to the press. We’ve collected a few videos to share with you.
The production has released highlight footage from Amelie ahead of its move to Broadway. It will open officially on April 3, 2017 at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Tickets are already on sale.
The musical is based on the French film Amelie.

Phillipa Soo (Hamilton), Adam Chanler-Berat (Next to Normal) and Tony Sheldon (Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) are currently starring in the preBroadway production of Amelie, A New Musical, at the Ahmanson Theatre in LA, based on the 2001 French film. It also features Emily Afton, David Andino, Randy Blair, Heath Calvert, Alison Cimmet, Savvy Crawford, Manoel Felciano, Harriett D. Amelie the musical opens December 16 at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, in preparation for its move to its Broadway home at the Walter Kerr Theatre in March. The musical is based on the charming 2001 French film (which you can stream on Netflix). It stars Phillipa Soo (“Hamilton”) as Amelie, as well as Adam Chanler-Berat (“Next to Normal”) and Tony Sheldon (“Priscilla, Queen of the Desert”).
